🚨🎂🚨🎂🚨🎂🚨 Today our Hornets had a fire drill all because of the candles on two very special birthday cakes! We surprised Ms. Lockmon & Ms. Troester who are celebrating 60 years young🧡 We appreciate all they do for us and GPS! Thanks to the fire department for providing the “just incase” fire truck & to our FCS kids for baking cakes & cookies for every student/staff member to celebrate! #HornetHype

Kale Bish & Phillip Kreutz earned medals in all 4 of their events Saturday! 🥇Phillip Kreutz 1st in both pole vault (tied his PR) & 800 (PR) 🥇Jacob Smith 1st in shot put (PR). 🥇Not pictured Cooper Reeson, 1st place in 1600 (PR). Boys team finished 3rd & girls team in 4th.

The following have qualified to participate in the Central Nebraska Track Championships at Northwest High School in Grand Island on Monday evening. 5:30 pm - 4 x 800 meter relay boys team consisting of Cooper Reeson, Marshall Humphrey, Paxton Harder, and Phillip Kreutz 6:15 pm - 1600 meters - Cooper Reeson 7:25 pm - 800 meters - Phillip Kreutz Live Results: http://liveresults.huskytiming.com/

The Giltner Education Association is offering a scholarship, in the amount of $400, to an individual who is pursuing a degree in education. Applicants must have graduated from the Giltner Public School district. Those interested must be Giltner Alumni entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year of college in the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. Applications may be picked up at the school office. You can also email amccarter@giltnerschool.us for an electronic copy. Applications are due by May 18th, 2022.
